Knik River Glacier Tour

Enjoyed a night of boondocking right on the tour property.
What a view!

The owner’s home.
Tom has been leading tours for 25 years and has
taken over 25,000 customers to view glacier and surrounding area!

First half was by truck.......

View from truck ride!
Knik Glacier is located on the northern edge of Alaska's Chugach Mountains.
Over 28 miles long and 5 miles across this is one of central Alaska's greatest rivers of ice.
Often referred to as Alaska's 'sunny glacier', a unique microclimate
or "rain shadow" has created a truly diverse ecosystem.
A northern desert surrounded by snow covered peaks, hanging glaciers, and waterfalls.
Nancy, from Georgia, was nice enough to take my picture!
One of my most favorite days of our trip!

Then by boat!

Tom allows tour participants to camp on his property for free
when you book a tour.

This was our most favorite dry camping night.

Beautiful views!
